Placing Your Order

 

1.Not An Existing Account Holder?

You will need to open an account with Payforthem before you can use our services. If you already have an account, please proceed to 3 -‘placing an order’ below.

2.Create An Account

Register your names and contact information including your email address and username before you can use the system.Please ensure that you register a valid email address to which you have access because we will send your confirmation email, which will have your access code to the email you provide.Registering will also enable you and us track the status of your order(s).This also enables us to contact you in case of any problems with your order.

2.1. Identification Requirements

Identification of the sender will be required from:

·       Customers who transfer money regurlarly

·       Customers sending £500 or more at anyone time

·       All new Customers

2.2. How to provide Identification:

1.    Bring the original documents to our office

OR

2.     Post copies to us as detailed below:-

Clear copies of identification must be Certified by a Solicitor as true copies of the original documents. The person certifying must include his/her name, address and telephone and rubber stamp of the Company

2.3. Acceptable forms of Identification:

Personal Identification (Any ONE of the following :-)

  • Valid and current photo id such as
  • Passport, UK/EU driving licence
  • Residence Permit/Alien registration

Evidence of Address (Any ONE of the following :-) 

  • Recent Utility bill - Telephone, Electricity, Gas or Water (not less than 3 months old) – Not mobile phone
  • Council Tax Bill (for current tax year)
  • Recent Bank or Building Society Statement – valid within last 3 months
  • Inland Revenue Tax Notification
  • Mortgage statement from a recognised lender
  • Confirmation from a hostel/hotel manager confirming residence

3.Placing An Order

i) Select the country of your intended recipient

ii) Select the merchant category from the menu that follows

iii) Select a merchant (goods/service provider) from the menu that follows

iv) Under each merchant or merchant type is a list of vouchers to choose from.

v) Choose the denomination of vouchers and the quantity you want to send from the list and then click 'add to cart'

vi) You can change the quantity for the selected voucher or add more vouchers to the shopping cart. If you select Payforthem Sterling vouchers, the recipient will receive the local currency equivalent of the total value at the exchange rate applicable on the day you buy the vouchers. If you select local currency vouchers, the recipient will receive the total value of the vouchers (in local currency). The buyer will pay the Sterling equivalent at the exchange rate applicable on the day of purchase. Use the 'Currency Converter' from the menu for your currency conversion.

4.Review Your Order

You can review the contents of the shopping cart at any time by clicking on “Show Cart” button. You can mix and match different types of vouchers in your shopping cart and you can add or remove items from the shopping cart before proceeding to checkout. Click on Continue Shopping to add more vouchers to your shopping cart. The contents of your basket will be preserved. Once you have reviewed your shopping cart and are happy that you have all that you need, you can proceed to check out by clicking on the “Checkout” button to start the Check Out process.

5.Provide Delivery and Recipient Information

The first step in the checkout process is made up of two sub-steps

a) Review of your billing information. If this information is not correct, please update it before continuing.

b) Secondly, you need to provide us with the delivery and recipient details. Click on the “Add Delivery and Recipient Information” button and fill in the form. Please provide as much information as possible to enable us deliver the vouchers to your recipient or your chosen goods/service provider. Where requested information does now apply, please indicate N/A. The secret question and secret answer are required for all voucher types except for mobile airtime. Please ensure that ONLY your recipient knows the answer to the secret question. We will ask them to confirm this before we deliver the vouchers. "You can enter multiple institution and or beneficiary details if required but please separate them with comas and provide comments so we can distinguish them." Example: Say you have vouchers for university fees and an Electricity Bill in your shopping cart. In this form, under Institution, enter XYZ-University fees &ABC Power Company – Bill payment.

6.Choose Shipping Method

The second step in the check out process is confirmation of shipping method. For now, there is a default option (standard shipping). In future, we will offer other options

7.Choose Payment Method

The third step is the selection of the payment method. There are several payment methods available to pay for your order.

a) Cash Deposit - You can pay by depositing cash into our back account. Please note that your order will not be delivered until your deposit reflects in our account as cleared funds.

b) PayPal / Debit Card /Credit card - You can pay using your PayPal account. If you do not have a PayPal account you can pay using all major debit and credit cards. Select this option and on the PayPal page you will be presented with one of the two choices. PayPal will show the complete list of all acceptable payment cards. PayPal will process your entire card payment and obtain authorisation from your card issuer. This is an important security feature for your peace of mind because Payforthem will not process or store any of your card details.  

8.Order Confirmation

The last stage of the Check Out process has two sub-steps:

i) Review the order. Shipping costs and or any other charges applicable will have been applied to the shopping cart and the total amount payable by the buyer displayed

ii) Read and Accept our Terms and Conditions - You need to read and accept our Terms and Conditions by checking the box next to the words “I agree to the Terms of Service” before proceeding.

iii) Click Confirm Order to proceed. 

If you are paying cash, you will see the message like the one below on the next screen after you confirm the order. "Thank you for your order. Your order has been successfully placed! A confirmation email has been sent to:....."

Follow this link to view the Order Details. If you pay using PayPal / Credit card or Debit card, after your payment has been authorised, PayPal will send you a Transaction ID for the transaction for reference. This will be sent to your email address.

9.Order Delivery

Please note that if your total Order Value is five hundred pounds or (£500) or more, we will not deliver the order before we verify the sender’s identity. Please visit us at 71 Kings Avenue, Bromley, BR1 4HL with 2 forms of valid identity. Please check our FAQs or call us 077 3817 8310 if you are unsure about the acceptable forms of identity.

All orders placed before 15:00 GMT will be delivered by Mid-day the next business day.  This includes money transfer orders as well as Mpesa & Air-time transfers.  The only exception is money transfer to Equity Bank which we are sometimes able to deliver on the same business day .

We are working on growing our list of delivery options. If you want your order delivered, please add a delivery voucher to your order. Please contact us to make and agree the delivery arrangements if you are unsure

For mobile airtime & Mpesa, this will be sent electronically and Payforthem will not charge you anything. However, note that some mobile operators may levy a small fee and where this is the case, this fee will come off the value of the airtime you send. Special Request Deliveries – Ask us if you want something specially delivered.

10.Cancelling Your Order

You can cancel your order any time before it has been delivered to the recipient. When you cancel the order we will refund the order amount LESS the transaction charges. If the transaction was paid for by card, the refund will only be made to the same card payment was collected from.
